Ted Lewis

Ted Lewis has been painting and exhibiting full-time for over 30 years. He held his first solo exhibition in Orange, NSW at the age of 18. Ted’s love of the Australian bush is evident in his meticulous interpretation of landform, flora and rural life, and he takes his paints with him wherever he goes.

He is a master at capturing the myriad manifestations of light in our continent’s myriad landscapes – landscapes that range from the scintillating brilliance of coastal landscapes to the intense reds and blues of Central Australia.

Ted experiments with acrylics when seeking to produce vibrancy, and uses oil paints to produce subtleties of light and atmosphere. Ted is one of Australia’s most skilled outback and landscape artists and has received multiple awards for his work.
