Ishtiaq Sandhu

I am a contemporary artist based in Melbourne. My practice comprises of the minimalistic depiction of landscape as well as the human body. I am more interested in capturing the spirit of my subject rather than its representational portraiture. Most of my landscapes are inspired by the aerial perspective encompassing the inherent abstraction and overall impression of the place in terms of composition, design and colour. In other words I am always in the pursuit of "Genius Loci".
